Tim is married, with three daughters, and has lived in Writtle for over 30 years having spent his early life in Ingatestone, then part of Chelmsford Rural District Council. Education at Brentwood School was followed by National Service in the RASC.
Retired, he spent most of his working life in the agricultural industry starting in the Corn & Agricultural Merchanting business of Hasler & Co.Ltd. (later absorbed into RHM Ltd.) and, for the last 24 years, as Senior Group Secretary for the Chelmsford, Maldon & Southminster Branches of the National Farmers' Union. This work brought him into contact with a number of departments in local government.
Elected in 2003, he has served as a Cabinet member and on a number of Committees including Planning.
Having lived and worked in the area for most of his life, Tim believes he can use his experience, local knowledge and commonsense for the benefit of the Writtle community.
