Cllr Richard Poulter

I have served as a City Councillor for the last seventeen years.  I believe passionately that local councillors should be available to help their communities and local residents with local problems.

To keep in touch I hold monthly ward surgeries in Bicknacre  and write regular articles in the Bicknacre and Woodham Ferrers and East Hanningfield Parish magazines.  I attend East Hanningfield and Bicknacre and Woodham Ferrers Parish Council meetings.

I have lived locally for over forty years.  I am married to Barbara and have four children all educated at Sandon school, and thirteen grandchildren.

I am the former Senior Partner of a major firm of Chelmsford solicitors.  I am a Vice President of Essex County Cricket Club and Chelmsford Hockey Club.  I am a life member of Essex Wildlife Trust, former Director of Chelmer Housing and former Chairman of the CAB Trustee Board.  I am Chairman of the Council’s Governance Committee and Vice Chairman of the Council’s Planning Committee.

You can contact me by email here or by phone to 01245 223743.
